San Francisco, Calif. (PRWEB) March 23, 2009 -- OPSWAT, Inc., the leading provider of endpoint security integration technologies, today announced that Webroot has completed the OESISOK certification program. This certification provides current and prospective Webroot customers with validation that its security software protects against the latest viruses, worms, spyware and other threats while running next to network solutions.
The OESISOK certification was awarded to Webroot for three security categories: antivirus, antispyware and personal firewall. The certified products include Webroot® Spy Sweeper, Webroot® Antivirus with AntiSpyware and Webroot® Internet Security Essentials. The OESISOK certification also ensures interoperability with devices from OPSWAT Endpoint Security Integration SDK (OESIS®) customers, which include Cisco Systems, Juniper Networks, F5 Networks and TippingPoint.
"Webroot is pleased to receive OESISOK certification," said Paul Lipman, senior vice president and general manager of Webroot's Consumer Business Unit. "With this certification we can ensure our customers have the latest protection against Internet threats when accessing networks at colleges, corporations, hot spots and other locations where devices utilizing OPSWAT technology are installed."
The OESISOK certification program is comprised of several stages of comprehensive installation and verification testing in order to ensure that a security application is both functional and interoperable with any network device or product. The stages include an installation test, a rogue application test and an OESIS® Framework detection test.
"End users expect that they will receive only interoperable solutions from their IT security providers," said Benny Czarny, president and CEO of OPSWAT, Inc. "The OESISOK certification program ensures that customers are using endpoint security solutions that are both identified and classified correctly by devices"
More information on OESISOK certification, including confirmation of interoperability status is available at www.OESISOK.com. OESISOK certification criteria are available at www.oesisok.com/criteria.html.
